The first ¡Viva el Arte de Santa Bárbara! concerts of the new year bring Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles back to the county for four shows on successive evenings January 15-18, beginning at the Carpinteria Vets Memorial Building on opening night, and closing at Marjorie Luke Theatre. The all-female group, established in 1994, has long blazed a trail for women in a male-dominated musical genre, bringing sensitivity, warmth and vivacious spirit to the historic art of mariachi. Each concert features free admission and a meet-and-greet with the performers following the concert. Visit https://artsandlectures.ucsb.edu/learn/viva-el-arte-de-santa-barbara.
