More than 200 do-gooders from all over America took part in a spectacular sunset and heartwarming stories at the ShelterBox USA Evening to Experience benefit on Thursday, September 7. Attendees at the UC investments campus, the former QAD campus, heard how ShelterBox is currently providing emergency shelter and vital humanitarian aid in some of the world’s worst disaster and conflict zones, including Ukraine, Chad, Syria, Pakistan, and more. ShelterBox currently has an assessment team deployed to Morocco to see how the relief organization can help after the devastating earthquake, which displaced tens of thousands last Friday. The host for the evening was News Director Lance Orozco from KCLU radio, NPR on the Central Coast.
