Raspberries

Chuy Berry Farms has the most delectable raspberries at the farmers market right now. A member of the rose family, raspberries come in red, black, yellow, and purple varieties and are easily recognized by their vibrant color and hollow center. Sweet, tart, and full of flavor, these berries are nutritional powerhouses packed with fiber, vitamin C, potassium, and potent antioxidants. Potassium is an essential mineral and electrolyte that supports heart health by helping regulate blood pressure, while also promoting healthy fluid balance and helping prevent muscle cramps. Raspberries are also rich in antioxidant compounds, including vitamin C, quercetin, ellagic acid, anthocyanins, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Together, these compounds help reduce oxidative stress and may support DNA repair and healthy cellular function. They also offer benefits for healthy aging, with vitamin C playing an important role in collagen production, skin health, and protection from UV-related damage. Let’s take these beautiful berries into the kitchen and make something delicious.
