Cold Spring School Hosts its AI Summit 2026

Dr. Amy Alzina, superintendent and principal of Cold Spring School District, hosted the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Artificial Intelligence Summit for educators at the school on July 8-9. This is her second year hosting the event.
In her press release for the event, Alzina explained, “The summit is designed to move beyond the conversation about AI and into practical implementation, equipping educators with tools, strategies, and ethical frameworks to prepare students for an AI-powered future. The summit also showcases Cold Spring School District’s commitment to innovation, through presentations by district educators and students demonstrating how AI is enhancing creativity, personalized learning, and instructional excellence while maintaining a strong focus on ethics, human connection, and student well-being. The summit reflects the district’s belief that schools have a unique opportunity and responsibility to shape how AI is used to improve learning while preserving the relationships, creativity, and critical thinking that define great education.”
The summit’s lineup of nationally recognized speakers and innovators included:
Day One: Adam Brotman, former chief digital officer of Starbucks and co-author of AI First; Dina Neyman of Khan Academy; Christian Jackson, founder and CEO of EDAPT and one of the nation’s leading voices on AI in education; Amy Jamieson, and Dora Palfi, CEO of imagi, whose presentation, “Let’s Use the AI Hype to Reimagine Education,” explores how AI can unlock creativity and transform learning experiences for students.
