Deputies responded to a Montecito hotel for a report of possible domestic disturbance. On scene, hotel security advised deputies that two witnesses saw an unknown male forcing himself on a female. The witnesses stated they saw a male pushing and dragging a female near the garden area of the property. When the witnesses approached the subjects, they said the male was undoing his belt on his pants while having the female’s dress pulled up above her waist. When confronted, both subjects climbed over a fence to the rear of the property which led to the train tracks. The witnesses ran to inform security of what happened. Security checked the surrounding area where both subjects were last seen but were unable to locate them. At the time of the investigation, the subjects had not returned to the hotel property and could not be identified. Security later located the female subject’s purse, which provided identification. The female subject did not wish to speak with security or deputies at the time. Follow up will be conducted to speak with suspects and determine if a crime has occurred.
