Playoffs Come to Montecito

Postseason baseball is coming to Russ Carr Field as Westmont hosts the four-team PacWest Baseball Championship May 6-8.

The Warriors (29-19, 25-17 PacWest) officially secured the berth May 1 following a doubleheader sweep of Menlo. As the No. 4 seed, Westmont opens the double-elimination tournament at 11 am against top-seeded Point Loma (41-10, 37-7).

The tournament field also features No. 2 seed Concordia and No. 3 seed Fresno Pacific, who will face off in the opening day’s second matchup at 2:30 pm. The Warriors won the tournament last year in their first season of NCAA DII eligibility, beating Biola, Point Loma and Hawaii Pacific, earning the right to host this year’s tournament.
