On November 11, the Pierre Claeyssens Veterans Foundation and the Santa Barbara VFW Post 1649 hosted hundreds at the Santa Barbara Cemetery to honor those who have served in the U.S. military.

The morning kicked off with a performance by the Gold Coast Pipe Band, with the likes of Pablo Paredes (Army), Lieutenant John W. Blankenship (Navy), Christina Sandstedt (Coast Guard), David Gonzales, Jerry Gray (Air Force), Rep. Salud Carbajal, Travis Buehner (Army), and Eric Kunak (Army) handling speaking duties, while the UCSB Reserve Officer Training Corps Color Guard (Surfrider Battalion), Howard Hudson and Bob Burtness, and the Santa Barbara Choral Society all performed.
