It’s third time lucky for Santa Barbara singer Martin Gore and his synth rock band Depeche Mode.

Englishman Gore, 58, who plays keyboard and guitar, and his fellow band members Andy Fletcher, Alan Wilder, Vince Clarke, and David Cahan, who have sold more than 100 million records, are being inducted into the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

It is their third nomination.

The talented quintet will be attending the induction ceremony in Cleveland on May 2. Other inductees include Whitney Houston, T. Rex, Nine Inch Nails, and the Doobie Brothers.
