Farmers & Merchants Bank, founded in 1907 and headquartered in Long Beach, is certainly making inroads in our Eden by the Beach.

A year and a half ago, the bank – run by Santa Barbara Polo Club players Dan and Henry Walker – opened a trust department on Santa Barbara Street, near the police headquarters, and has now opened its first fully functioning branch at East Carrillo Street, formerly Rabobank.

The branch, which has eight employees, will be managed by Nolan Nicholson, who formerly worked in the lending department.

Among the guests celebrating the occasion were Dana Hansen, Kim Shea, Larry Gosselin, Dan Lackie, Frank Tabar, Kim Shea, Kelly Flint, and Angela Moloney.
