Santa Barbara winemaker Doug Margerum has been getting priceless publicity, with two of his wines being featured on the cover of the new issue of the Wine Spectator.

His M5 white and sauvignon blanc are considered two of the best value wines in the world at $30 or less, out of more than 1,300 wines tasted by experts from the oenophile glossy.

“It’s great to have the wines recognized by such an esteemed publication,” says Doug. “M5 white is a companion wine to our flagship M5 red wine.

“Both are Grenache-based… Some of the most compelling wines we have enjoyed in our lives have been Rhone blends.

“The Margerum estate vineyard in the Los Olivos District AVA has the ideal climate and terroir for Rhone varietal grapes. This wine is now at another level.”

The 2017 M5 white will be released on August 1.
