Montecito author Susan St. John was in celebratory mood when she hosted an intimate cocktail party at Lucky’s for 40 friends to mark her first novel, Mad Mischief, being chosen by Santa Barbara Magazine for its winter list of Hot Reads.
“I’m really quite amazed,” said Susan. “The comments on Amazon have also been great and have validated my decision to write the book.”
For the evening, the eatery’s Brett Sanders concocted a Mad Mischief martini with vodka, triple sec, mango, and Grenache, reflecting the colors of her book’s cover.
Turning out for the sunset soirée were Gretchen Lieff, Anne Gersh, Barbara Woods, Geonine Moriarty, Nina Terzian, Marie Profant, Tom and Eileen Mielko, Dan Ensel, Karen Drown, and Carole Ridding.
