Rescue Relief at La Lieff

On Saturday afternoon the patio at La Lieff Tasting Room was alive with puppy energy. What some participants have called the happiest happy hour in town was actually a heartwarming adoption event featuring Aussie Mix puppies and hosted by Aussie Rescue Networking Group (rescuenetworkinggroup.com), a local rescue known for turning puppy love into forever families.

An all-volunteer, foster-based organization, Aussie Rescue Networking Group places around 100 dogs each year into loving homes. Most of the dogs come from overcrowded shelters or have been abandoned, and while the team always has a few Australian Shepherds in the mix, its volunteers have a soft spot for all herding breeds. “We try to focus on family dogs suitable for the local community,” said Lesley Bloomer, founder of ARNG.

The rescue also expressed its appreciation for Gretchen Lieff’s willingness to help showcase the pups. Anyone interested in adopting one of ARNG’s fabulous fur kids can email: [email protected] or follow the group on Instagram at Aussie_Rescue_Networking_Group to see the latest “pupdates.”
