Eight months after celebrating its first anniversary with a boffo bash at the Hotel Californian, Epicurean Santa Barbara was back at the tony hostelry for a Wine Down Wednesday at the Djinn cocktail bar in the Library Lounge.

The third wine-oriented fest on the program, after events at the Rosewood Miramar and Mizza Pizza on State Street, featured 45 guests quaffing wines chosen by sommelier Andrew Villareal, including Margerum 2018 rosé and Grassini Family Vineyards 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, and artfully crafted libations created by Los Angeles mixologist Devon Espinosa, while noshing on West Coast oysters, grilled flat bread, Kennebec French fries, and Hamachi Crudo.
